I take no credit for getting this site up and running. (The expertise required to pull this off is mind blowing and I don't have a technical bone in my body.) But I will take sole responsibility for bringing this team together. "Tami's Team" includes JIM - A budding independent filmmaker and NIKO - A programmer who happens to run a wicked cool clothing line when he's not crunching code.
It all started very simply. We saw a need. We had an idea. We made a plan. We formed a team. We created a site: www.frinkout.com. Considered a work in progress, (in a constant state of refinement) FrinkOut.com is a site where restaurants and bars can list their food and drink specials. And that's a very good thing. We hope you love it! To good times and good people, and may the future celebrate many of both. I welcome your feedback. tami@frinkout.com
I grew up on the east coast learning about wilderness survival, tracking, and primitive skills. On a cross country adventure I discovered the Pacific Northwest and fell in love with the area. I gave up primitive skills shortly after I realized that there's no money in it. When I'm not working on creating a master list of the best happy hour specials in Bellingham and around the world, I work on graphic design and independent film projects through my production company, Rocket Soul Productions.
This site was partly inspired from my fond memories of good happy hours at the Prescott Brewery in Prescott AZ. Their happy hour food specials fed me through college. My hope is that this site will not only be useful to college students looking for cheap eats, but to old farts like myself who need to know where to go and what's available.
Born in Buenos Aires, Niko was raised by a clan of indiginous ninja monkeys. His training continued in Shaolin temples around the Henan Province, where he learned to code websites while doing handstands. Currently, he lives in Bali, Indonesia, roundhouse kicking zeroes and ones until they turn into websites, and making gear for other ninja monkeys.
